Authorities were called to the 600 block of South Walnut Avenue around 8 p.m. last weekend. They were initially dispatched for a car accident involving a motorcycle and a Dodge truck before they learned it was intentional.
The motorcycle driver stated that the driver of the truck was driving erratically and producing large clouds of diesel exhaust in front of him. The motorcycle attempted to pass him when the truck swerved into his lane, causing a collision.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital in San Antonio with non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver was identified as 18-year-old Kentyn Roger Carley of New Braunfels. He was taken into custody and booked into Comal County Jail.
Carley has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released a day later after he posted a $20,000 bond.
