Woman arrested in Texas after she kills 1 and injures another in drunk driving accident

A woman was caught and arrested in New Braunfels one month after she killed one and wounded another in a drunk driving accident. The crash occurred in Seguin, Texas on March 13th.  

Sylvia Rodriguez told officers she drank multiple alcoholic beverages before getting behind the wheel of her Jeep Liberty. She was traveling east on West Kingsbury when she crashed head-on into a Mitsubishi Outlander. 

The  Mitsubishi was being driven by a 22-year-old man with Elizabeth Solis in the passenger seat. Both the driver and the man were taken to the hospital in critical condition. Solis was airlifted to a hospital in the San Antonio area, also in critical condition. 

Solis died from her injuries at the hospital. She was 20 years old.  

A month later, Rodriguez was arrested at her home and was booked for intoxication manslaughter. She was also charged with one count of intoxication assault and is being held in the Guadalupe County Jail.
