A Houston truck driver has been charged after causing a fatal car accident

Authorities have charged a truck driver for intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle after he caused a fatal car accident on 1-10 in Houston, Texas. The accident involved four vehicles and the driver has been identified as Pablo Isai Frias. 

After the crash occurred, Frias admitted to drinking 12 ounces of beer the night before. However, he denied being on any medications. They conducted multiple sobriety tests at the scene and officers noticed that he had red, glassy eyes. 

Houston police stated that Frias was driving his Peterbilt semi-truck when he crashed into the   back of a Chevy Tahoe. It was reported that the Tahoe was attempting to drive around a van before it was rear-ended. The SUV then proceeded to hit another tractor-trailer. 

The driver of the Tahoe was identified as Miriam Buentello, who died at the scene. There were no other critical injuries reported at the scene. 

Frias’ has a bond set at $100,000.
