San Marcos Police responded to an accident involving three vehicles on I-35 early Monday morning in San Marcos, Texas. When first responders arrived, they found a white pickup truck overturned on the side of the road with no driver. The driver of the truck was intoxicated, and his name was Rodolfo Lopez Jr, 34, after flipping his truck he would flee the scene.
Myron Liggins, 54, was driving a gray sedan when he struck the overturned pickup, and this caused his unfortunate death. He would be pronounced dead at the scene, and there was another vehicle in this accident, but they wouldn’t suffer any injuries.
The I-35 in San Marcos had to be closed for over five hours that Monday morning, but it was eventually reopened.
Lopez is facing charges of intoxicated manslaughter, and an accident involving a death. Lopez’s bond is set at $75,000 as he waits for his trial.
