Authorities responded to an accident last night involving two vehicles. An officer was attempting to pull over the driver of the Ford Focus when the Focus refused to stop and would speed off. The officer followed him for a brief period until pulling back.
The next thing the officer would see is a huge ball of light followed by the surrounding area losing all power. As the officer was approaching the accident, the driver of the Focus would flee on foot while leaving someone trapped in his car.
The Focus hit a vehicle driven by a woman and she would, unfortunately lose her life due to the collision. Authorities also arrested the fleeing driver for evading arrest.
Authorities are still investigating this accident and will release information when possible.
