High Speeds Cause Fatal Accident in Bay County, Florida

Tuesday night authorities responded to an accident involving two vehicles. The first vehicle was a Buick carrying three passengers, and the second vehicle was a Dodge Challenger with a 23-year-old man driving it.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported the Challenger was traveling at excessive speeds when colliding with the back of the Buick. The force from the collision caused the Buick to roll until it collided with a light post. The Challenger would end up rolling into the opposite field where it would catch fire.

The driver and 73-year-old passenger of the Buick would die due to the accident. There was also a nine-year-old passenger in the Buick and they suffered major injuries and were taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Challenger would suffer minor injuries and be treated by the local EMS at the scene. Authorities are still investigating this accident and will provide details as they are available.
