Authorities attempted to make a traffic stop early Monday morning, but this attempt would end in tragedy. Two vehicles were traveling recklessly when officers attempted to pull both vehicles over. However, neither vehicle would stop and this would lead to police officers conducting a police pursuit.
During these events there was a married couple attempting to turn out of a shopping center when they would be struck from behind. The force from the accident would end up taking the lives of both passengers and the driver fleeing the police would suffer major injuries.
Police officers state the chase was less than a minute when the accident occured. Authorities are still investigating the issue and making sure officers followed proper protocol.
The married couple who passed away would leave behind two children, a 5-year-old boy and a 8-year-old girl.
