59-year-old Bart Bryant was killed in a car accident in Polk County. Authorities found him unresponsive after a truck collided with his SUV in a construction zone. Bryant was transported to a nearby hospital where he later was pronounced deceased. His wife, Donna, was also in the vehicle and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators found that Bryant was stopped at a construction site when a truck failed to his car and slammed into him.
He is survived by his wife Donna and his two daughters. His first wife preceded him in death after she passed from cancer in 2017.
Bryant was a professional golfer who once beat Tiger Woods by six strokes and won the Memorial Tournament in his Tour Championship debut.
