Authorities responded to a crash involving a motorcyclist and dump truck early Thursday morning around 1 a.m. in northeast Dallas.
The accident took place at the intersection of Forest Lane near the LBJ Freeway service road. The motorcyclist ran a red light and crashed into the dump truck’s side door before being thrown from the bike.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene after the Dallas Fire-Rescue responded. The truck driver remained at the scene throughout the investigation and reported no injuries following the accident.
The service road was closed due to the ongoing investigation but reopened later into the night.
The motorcyclist’s name has not been released. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office is responsible for identifying him.
