Authorities received reports Monday of a minivan traveling into head on traffic when they also received another report of a head-on collision on the same road. This accident was a two vehicle wreck between an SUV and a minivan.
The minivan was carrying a 33-year-old woman who was the driver and there were also two children in the vehicle. The SUV was carrying a 28-year-old beloved coach and two of his students who were children. The coach was returning from the Dallas Mavericks playoff game.
The minivan would come to a head-on collision with the SUV and would result in both drivers losing their lives. The two children in the minivan would be pronounced dead at the scene, and the two students in the coach’s car would be taken to the hospital to be treated for their wounds.
The Palestine ISD community is mourning the loss of their beloved coach who also had a one-year-old daughter. Investigators are still looking into the reason behind the woman driving into oncoming traffic.
Car Accidents Change Lives, mostly for the Worse
In a matter of seconds, you could be driving on an interstate and then someone could hit you and permanently change your life. One fatality due to accidents also results in funerals for the victims. For a single funeral in Texas, the cost ranges from $7,000 to $12,000.
This can lead you to a long list of bills and expenses that could leave you with a feeling of drowning.
The hardships listed above do not consider all the emotional trauma and pain the families will have to go through.
