Suspect identified in hit-and-run that killed 2, injured 3 others in Dallas

Authorities are still investigating a head-on collision that killed two teenagers and injured three others. A suspect has been identified and police are working to get him into custody. 

The accident occurred on Esperanza Road in North Dallas around 9 p.m. The driver was heading south before crossing into oncoming traffic and colliding with an SUV head-on. 

The SUV was occupied by five juveniles. 16-year-old Crystal Pineda and her brother 15-year-old Andres Pineda were riding in the front of the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the hospital. The three others suffered injuries, but they are not in critical condition and are expected to survive. 

After the accident, the suspect fled the scene and his truck is now being investigated in the case. A video has surfaced from the scene that shows law enforcement collecting drink containers and putting them away for evidence. 

Investigators know what the suspect looks like, but they have not located him yet.
