A Texas truck driver was critically injured after being hit by a train. The truck was hauling gravel through Harris County.
Authorities responded to the crash at 16955 Katy Hockley Road after a truck was reportedly on the tracks. The crossing arms came down and the cab of the truck was torn away from the load after the train hit. The truck was pushed a quarter mile down the tracks.
It was reported that the driver was life flighted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Authorities learned that the driver was stable and is expected to survive the crash.
The local police department tweeted to let drivers know about the incident and advised them to avoid the area. The crash is still being investigated.
